As a former truck driver in Colorado, the mountains are very unpredictable. It could be sunny and warm on one side of a pass and slick and icy on the other. Colorado DOT does a good job of keeping the roads clear. If it is bad just take your time and no sudden movements on ice.
My crystal ball says…..Wait! I 76 ends at Wadsworth! You canĀ“t get to Grand Junction on i76!
And it’s looking pretty nasty here…I live about an hour west of Denver on I 70! You are looking at pretty cloudy, and possibly snowy weather on the passes!
I-76 does not go to Grand Junction
You would be thinking of I-70.

The weekend forecast is for sunny weather , no rain or snow until monday.
You mean I-70 and then Highway 6, right?
Had to check towns individually:
Grand Junction:
Glenwood Springs:
Vail:http://www.weather.com/outlook/driving/interstate/weekend/USCO0388?from=36hr_topnav_driving
Denver:http://www.weather.com/outlook/driving/interstate/weekend/USCO0105?from=36hr_topnav_driving
I-76 does not go west through the whole state, it turns into I-70 at about wadsworth. You might see some snow when driving through the mountains.
