you are probably better off flying there the price of gas is sooo high that it will cost you more to drive and you have to pay taxes on your car in mex if you plan on driving it for a long period of time there the highway checkpoints are lined with cars that were confinscated from american toutists.
realize that it costs about 60 cents per mile to drive a car. that’s not including hotels and food on the way and other stuff. flying would be a much better option.

Get directions to Nogales, AZ. From there cross the border and you have a 12 hour drive, straight down highway 15 to Mazatlan.
