Hold the handbrake hard and pray for dear life (LOL) I don’t reall know, I guess Put the brake on easy not too hard! If the light has only just gone red just go straight through, its not like no-ones done it before!

The engine is not a brake! Brake pads are cheaper than piston rings. Here is the process:

    See red light
    Rear brake–lightly
    Front brake–harder
    Clutch in
    Down shift 1-3 gears
Blip throttle (with front brake on)
Continue using brakes, bike in a lower gear (2nd or 3rd)
    Left foot out
Roll to a stop and pull clutch in
    During red light, find neutral
When light changes, downshift to first and go.

It’s almost the same process you would use for a slow speed corner or curve. Easy.
