I have a B flat Yamaha trumpet, and honestly, it sucks. My band director suggested I get a Bach trumpet instead. I have a big competition coming up, and I can’t use my Yamaha anymore! Any suggestions on how to trade it quickly and easily?

You take it to the music store and you ask if you can trade your Yamaha in for a Bach. The problem is it will be most likely you will be paying a bit more (assuming you’re trading it for a new trumpet) because the value of the Yamaha would’ve gone down since you got it.
Depending on if you are proficient at trumpet and you have enough cash, I would say that you should get a Bach Stradivarius. As to which model, I cannot answer because I don’t play trumpet.
I think the best way to trade your Trumpet is it to your nearest music store and ask for a trade.
I have never traded my trumpet, so i am not sure if it will work, but i guess they wont give you a brand new trumpet unless you pay a bit more than usual.
Hope it works!
Good Luck For Your Big Competition
GO TRUMPETERS!!!
The fastest way would definitely be trying to trade it in at your music store. If it’s a professional Yamaha (mark II or xeno) this wont be too hard, student level trumpets and most intermediate will trade in for little to nothing because they already own plenty and generally stores buy instruments for about half or a little over how much they would sell them for. So if your trumpet is only worth a few hundred on the shelf, they’ll give you $150 or less. Craig’s list works but takes more time, you can get more money though. If you’re looking at professional trumpets and want a bach than the stradivarius is the best choice. Go for a lt307s with a 37 bell if it’s your first pro trumpet. Craig’s list is another good place for that but be careful buying any pro trumpet without playing it for a little while first. Buying a new strad is always very pricy and not much of a difference between the new and used ones.
