You can’t. Either move, or get rid of the bike. (you could sell it and earn money!)

hah dink aptly named anyway- have you explored all the possibilities with your landlord, if you gave extra for him to allow you to put it in the yard. A Friend of mine has a similar problem and he has resorted to renting a small lock up storage unit. Is there some one close by that garage or shed you could use, there must be a way you could get it out of sight for the night good luck with that

Lock it up as much as you can. Buy a cover for it. Keep the insurance paid on it.

All you can really do is make it as hard as possible to take. If someone really wants the bike, they are going to get it even if it’s in a gated yard.

Your probably more at risk from joyriders, professional thieves will get it no matter how well you lock it up. Bunch of visible locks will deter them
Cover is probably a good idea even though it will probably get vandalised.
Just tape it up when that happens, maybe if it looks bad on the street landlord will relent?.

And there’s no back of the apartment/house parking facility where you can chain the bike to a post? Otherwise, pay extra for installing a Lo-Jack [sp?] on your bike so the authorities can easily relocate your stolen bike. Lo-Jack really works.

    Good luck!

As someone has already suggested, a cover is a good idea. Thieves are generally opportunists and are often to idle to even bother looking under them.

It’s odd, but statistically proven that a cover on a bike makes it less likely to be stolen. Mind you, if the cover isn’t lockable, someone may well steal THAT! The more locks and chains you have the better, period.
