honda prelude, eagle talon, nissan 300zx, nissan 240sx, all very fun and fast cars
you will not like this answer but get him just an everyday car nothing special so he learns to appreciate a vehicle . i have had friends that bought their kids cars like corvette and within a couple of months they are dead in a car accident ,sorry if it was not the answer you wanted but it is a true answer
