The easiest way to remove the transmission is to remove the entire engine. Once they are out of the car together, changing the tranny will be a cinch. Them reinstall together.Any questions my email is “harrisj_8620012000@yahoo.com”
I had to change the motor in my 89 honda accord, and the easiest thing for me to do was drop the whole front end. (jack the body off of the front end) from there, everything was accessable.)
If you take this approach you will probably need to disconnect the steering linkage (should be a small plate inside the car, on drivers floorboard that you can take off and will have a U-joint connecting the linkage to the steering rack)
In my opinion this is much easier if you don’t have all of the right tools to work on the car with. (eg. cherry picker)
ye its easier 2 work on out of the car.u have 2 disconnect cv joints, shift lever, speedo cable etc its a big job .ive just done it without engine hoist,by myself
pull the motor
