How to program a keyless entry remote to a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT?

I attempted to do the same thing, since I work for Toyota but drive a Cavalier. Unfortunately, the remote can only be programmed with a special dealer scan tool. Believe me, I exhausted all options before finally calling a friend at Chevrolet, who informed me that there’s no other way.
