I would think if you lock the doors manually with the key as opposed to using the infra red press button thingy it shouldn’t activate the alarm.

Try it, because I would have thought there should be a way to over ride the alarm if so desired.

I know you will Not like my answer But, Disconnect the alarm and throw it away. As a auto service technician I hate going under the hood of a vehicle and having my ear drums burst from an alarm screaming. A while back as I was leaving Walmart I saw and Heard a car alarm going off on a Caddi Escalade people were just going about their business as usual. The Caddi was towed a short time later while I watched. That night on the news I heard (this is a small town) the Caddi was STOLEN FROM THE WALMART Parking lot!!! To make a long story short, long ago and far away alarms were good. Thieves were bad. …. Thieves have gotten bolder and better. Laws make punishment harsher when we catch them. An alarm system doesn’t even rate an insurance discount anymore. So Toss the alarm Your dog, your service tech, and the public will thank you.

Car alarms are just plain obnoxious no one cares about your car, if the alarm goes off we all think “what an idiot cant work the alarm” they are noise pollutants and just overall a very useless device.

On my Land Rover locking with the key rather than the remote will activate the door alarms but NOT the internal sensors. Yours may work this way, and if it doesn’t there may well be a parameter which can be set on the vehicle computer to make it do this.

Try it, and if no joy, talk to a dealer.
