Daytime running lights usually run at half power. So there will not be any significant effect on the life of the bulb. The benefits of the daytime running lights far outweigh what little effect there will be on bulb life.

Think about this. How long will your expensive new bulbs last if someone pulls out in front of you because you were not noticed? If the crash kills you, would you care about light bulbs?

A HID conversion kit will cost you about $100.00 from ebay. Sylvania bulbs are not HID.

The DRL thing isn’t much to worry about bec you can simply pop out it’s fuse or relay, then all you need to do when you want headlights is turn them on via the regular headlight switch, plus if you wanted to you could place a led switch on the dash to turn on your DRL’s.

There are too many lights out there to choice from one thing you have to keep in mind is whether or not your head light lenses are plastic and what wattage the old head lights are compared to the new ones bec if too high wattage’s and plastic you’ll end up melting the lenses.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way there are some brighter headlights out there that aren’t Hid but offer you a better driving view in distance and over all width. The blue headlights aren’t bad go and take a look at them at the part stores their the ones that I use and their a lot better then my old regular headlights.

Here’s a link to some HID lights that I found online that you can check into and order etc if you like.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-XENON-CONVERSION-KIT-6000K-8000K-10000K-12000K-9007_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem370120068707QQitemZ370120068707QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
