Yes, but not because they are both Chevys. A small ford and big block Ford the distributors do not interchange. Even though they are both Fords.

Yes. The only exception in small block & big block distributors is the tall deck big blocks, but if it’s out of a 454 you don’t need to worry about it. They never made a production tall deck 454, only bowtie race blocks.
